*sigh* How long since my last post? How long since my last post worth reading? Eat it up.

I said once that the whole of the human race should spend a minute a day weeping for lost beauty. At the time I was thinking of the natural world and the methodical destruction of it (and specifically of stars; how long has it been since I, in big city Edmonton, saw more than a dozen stars at a time?), but now I want to widen my statement to include all the times we lose beauty in our lives.

I think children are smarter than almost all adults, and the younger the child, the better. Some kids are miniature adults nowadays – it breaks my heart to see a nine year girl worrying that she’s fat (and she’s thin as a stick, too). Children…they don’t know what society expects of them, so they don’t conform, they haven’t formed strong views on much of anything, they’re not racist or sexist or anything really…blank slates. Psyche, without persona. Humans as humans were meant to be.

Society’s insane. It wants logic and forward-thinking, wisdom and experience, but it also wants to look no older than twenty five. It wants new ideas and spontaneity, but rewards those who are truly spontaneous, saying what they think when they think it and moving however they want with the label “crazy” and murmurs about autism.

You know what I think? Everyone’s too future-centric. The enjoyment of the present is lost in the hopes of the future, and nobody realises that jam tomorrow is nothing when compared to dry bread today. There are people in my class (most of whom are 14 with a few 13-year-olds hanging in there) saying what they’ll do for A levels or IB (seventeen or eighteen), forming opinions about which sixth form college they’ll go to (seventeen/eighteen again), looking at universities (twenty) and what they’ll read there.

I wish the whole world would slow down. The future can only be changed by working in the present, and if you don’t enjoy the present, where will you be in the future? Stop. Slown down. Stand and stare. You’ve got the whole of your life ahead of you! Plenty of time; all the time you’ll ever have. If you love it, do it. Who cares what the world thinks? Who cares about money (it’s just paper and metal, after all)? Who cares about the future? Dry bread today! Tomorrow never comes!

Something I don’t understand is people taking jobs they hate (eg McDonald’s…ugh…) for money. Let’s say you spend 8 hours sleeping. You’ve got 16 hours in each 24-hour day to live, and if you’re working 9-5 then you’re working 8 hours a day. Work in a job you hate and you’re spending half your waking hours doing something you detest. What a waste of a life. I’d rather starve happily then eat miserably.

Abrupt end to my rambling, of course- stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!

Things that grow;

They will never cease

To do so.

But if they become

Things that don’t grow,

They will fail.

Respect is something

Worth growing,

Isn’t it?

Why can’t we live together?

Great movie. Go watch it.

Three people busy in one average-sized house. Person B and C are in the same room. Person A needs to get a message to person C- so he/she yells the message across the house to person B to pass it on. Doesn’t it make logical sense that Person C will have heard it anyway!? Allow me to clarify;

A: Hey B, tell C that I’m hungry!!!!

B: C!!!! A’s HUNGRY!!!!!!!

C: I HEARD THE FIRST TIME SOMEBODY SCREAMED IT; I DON’T NEED TO HEAR IT AGAIN!!!!

No translation on this one; it’s just something worth writing but not quite worth reading.

A pen on the paper

Writing our stories

Pouring our hearts out

Consuming our lives

Thoughts shaking,

Hearts breaking,

It tears us apart.

A hasty script,

or a creative novel,

It makes us or breaks us

always overrates us…

6 pages later

I find myself

Face down on the ground,

Having fallen down,

Without a breath left.

But still I rise

from the dirt

To face a false medic

And let the tears fall

The ink has been running

Like water on stone

and the novel is over

We’re rebuilding our home.

It seems I haven’t posted in a while. Writer’s block? Not exactly…more something of a lack of subject. Such a thing still remains just out of my grasp. Let me just proclaim a couple of things for now; your mind’s thirst for an update needs quenching of some sort.

I’d first like to rant about people’s abuse of the world’s excitement revolving around the new Harry Potter book. Firstly; if you’re one to even seek spoilers, you’re not worthy of such a masterpiece. Secondly; Anything you find on the web as this current time has been confirmed as lies. Anybody spreading such lies are automatically on my hate list; both for lying and for attempting to spoil a great book before anybody has the chance to read it for themselves. And we’ve all heard of this Philippine fan girl who went so far as to hang herself over a fake copy of the book available on the Internet; giving Harry and his friends all a gruesome end. Stop this nonsense or I’ll have to beat you.

On a side note; I’m currently working on a book. The plot is still fuzzy and I can’t predict it’s length as of yet; but I can tell you that I will be writing both plain text as well as a graphic novel and probably publish on the Internet for all you blokes for free.

One can always turn their own bleeding hands

To cover their sad eyes,

To block their hopeful ears,

To silence their sobbing mouth…

But one can never resist

The urge to take a peak,

The temptation to listen,

The desperate need to cry…

It’s human instinct;

Nobody can turn away from fact,

As hard as we try,

We still have to meet the sad realization…

And look at what we’ve done.

“You can always keep kicking, I’m sure a hole in the contraption will help.”

Surely when you were young you’ve played ‘Telephone’? You know; when people pass on a message to each other through whispers and the last person to hear it shouts it out. It’s always a laugh to see something like ‘I’ve seen lassie eat smores’ become ‘I have grass in my shorts’.

My mother over-exaggerates almost everything she says; whether it’s something she just witnessed or something she heard from someone else. Sometimes it’s difficult to decipher where the true fact is hidden. Or maybe it really did take an hour for me to wait 10 minutes for my SIN number. Great work there. The only times I can recall hearing straight facts have been in direct quotations; like Bible verses. Get your facts straight.

By the way; this post is, in reality, a gently noted rant.

“So you’re going to box me in?”

Sitting at this familiar desk for the first time in days; a blog topic fails to reach me. We’re finally done moving and I have no real post for you. Window-cleaner seeping through the worn knees of my pants; not comfortable, but I had to get onto the internet. Our new house is huge!!

But anyway I was surprised to look out the car window and see icky green clouds over this pleasant little town. Wainwright’s icky-green-cloud-producing industry consists of a single tower; which I’ve only seen functioning a couple times. Meanwhile, skys in Edmonton are stark blue, not a cloud in sight! I never even got any whiff of that signature Edmonton industrial cancer-infested air. I’m so bloody confused.

In the midst of all this I’m having all the trouble in the world just trying to pronounce the word ‘denim’.

*”So you’re going to box me in?” As my sister surrounds the computer’s corner- and me- with the boxes and bins that were in the way of her own office area. T.T

With the release of the 7th(and final) Harry Potter book fast approaching, I can’t help but scream at the world my theory as to what the outcome of the book will be. I know I’m probably not the only one who’s thought of this; but I just gotta post it somewhere! Basically; Harry’s the last horcrux and both he and Voldemort have to die. Now let me support with some evidence;

  • Harry keeps sensing Voldemort’s thoughts and feelings
  • Harry keeps having prophetic dreams related to Voldemort
  • Harry has the same wand as Voldemort
  • Harry’s a parcelmouth
  • In book 6, Dumbledore himself said that in killing Harry, Voldemort was indeed trying to make a horcrux!!! <—— update!!!!!

At this point some questions have to be raised;

  • Why is Voldemort trying to kill his last horcrux?

I don’t think he realizes it.

  • What about the prophecy from book 5?

Dumbledore said it could be referring to Neville; which is likely the case if you’re familiar with good literature plotting.

  • But after the last Horcrux is destroyed, who’s supposed to kill Voldemort?

Judging by my conclusion about the prophecy, I’d have to point at Neville. I’d quite like to see that; wouldn’t you?

Thus I’m confident that Harry will have to die and then Voldemort killed by the most unlikely person, Neville. (If the rest of my theory’s true, then the book would be rather stupid if Neville weren’t the slayer of Voldemort.) Please point out any holes in my theory- or more evidence, because I’m sure I missed some.

Kate: I sent you pictures of my new glasses- don’t you just love ‘em!?

Alphadingo: But they don’t suit you?

Kate: Is that a question?

Alphadingo: A statement, actually. My misuse of the question mark is noticed quite often.

Kate: I don’t get it o.O

Alphadingo: In this context the question mark is indicating inquiry of the statement previous.

Kate: English please?

Alphadingo: I’m confused as to why you’ve been so excited about getting these glasses when they don’t suit you.

Kate: They looked good by them self… wait; is that a real context?

Alphadingo: No idea. Makes sense, though?

Kate: There you go again!!!
